Sylvia Laws, Managing Director
During her 25 years in marketing communications, Sylvia has worked with some of the biggest brands in technology, delivering original, creative and effective B2B campaigns for global giants, such as Toshiba, Siemens, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Eaton, Hewlett-Packard, National Instruments and Bosch, across Europe, Asia and the US.
A strong believer in the power and value of the brand, Sylvia encourages her clients to aim high in delivering focused, strategic campaigns that will develop their brand into one that attracts and involves their customers.
A language graduate of Dundee University and the Sorbonne, Sylvia is also a member of the UK’s Enterprising Women community.
Ian Clay, Executive Director
Ian has amassed a huge amount of experience as both a journalist and a PR professional. His mission is to increase the understanding and communication between journalists and the clients he represents to allow them to work together effectively to the benefit of all.
Prior to heading up PR side at the agency, Ian spent over 10 years working as a journalist and editor on local newspapers, consumer magazines and some of the most successful technical trade publications in the UK.
Ian (who is based in Singapore with Technical Publicity Asia Pte Ltd) works with the team to ensure all activities are focused on results. His knowledge and experience help ensure that there is a thorough understanding of the client’s technology, their markets and the media they want to influence.
Joanne Butler, Strategy Director
CIM qualified marketeer with 15+ years experience in B2B inbound marketing working on brands such as Honeywell, Toshiba, Eaton, Alfa Laval and Atlas Copco. Joanne offers strategic and tactical advice to our global client base.
Melanie Hulbert, Strategy Director
Melanie Hulbert manages operations and leads the PR team in Technical Publicity’s head office in the UK. She is a strategic thinker and has a proven ability to execute integrated PR campaigns across EMEA as well as a natural ability to oversee and manage the implementation of business process and strategy across the agency. In this role Melanie also oversees the development of the team and thus is continually growing the expertise that the agency offers to its clients.
Since joining the agency in 2006, Melanie has built up over a decade of B2B technology PR and communications experience working on pan-EMEA campaigns with tech giants such as Eaton and Honeywell. Melanie holds a BA (Hons) in Communications and a CIPR Diploma in Public Relations.
